  • According to the news, today, an investigation has turned up the fact that the fire was started by a sailor smoking in an unauthorized area, causing flammable items to ignite.
  • I saw that, along with the CO and XO getting fired. Seems to me that if you allow personnel to smoke in the same room flammable material is stored then you are destined to have a catastrophe.
  • Indeed, that is setting up a definite catastrophic situation. I did read that the CO and XO were fired...and now on shore duty pending further investigation.
